About the Training

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) has become a standard part of the engineering product development process. Despite its ubiquitous use, the method is often misused due to a lack of requisite foundational knowledge. In many cases, this can be rectified, without delving too deeply into FEA theory, by gaining an understanding of some general principles and practical guidelines that are usually gleaned over years of experience. This course aims to provide a consolidated and concise source of such information.

Andrew Berndt

Andrew Berndt is a mechanical engineer with 10 years of experience in design and analysis. In his role as Technical Specialist at ESTEQ, he has provided support, training and consulting services to customers in South Africa and internationally. His area of primary focus has been non-linear dynamic finite element analysis using explicit time integration methods.
